This nice plant was in reasonable abundance right next to the stream. I'm a bit uncertain, but my guess is:
Rattleweed milkvetch - Astragalus sabulosus
Guess I'll have to come back in a month or two and see if it forms the characteristic "rattle" seedpods!

On this one, Derrick from Phoenix really impressed. My pics are not very explicit, but he ID'd it as:
Big Sandwort - Eremogone macradenia (formerly known as Arenaria macradenia) / Caryophyllaceae
