The Cedar Mesa area was well populated not too long ago by the Anasazis. This rather large ruin at the mouth of Arch Canyon probably lasted into the twentieth century with little damage, but was knocked down by that new King of the West - the cow. Unfortunately, cattle have a tendency to rub their backs against anything solid, irrespective of ancientness or beauty. The BLM has now fenced this area off.
