Analysis of the Group Size per permit shows a few interesting tidbits.

Backpacking groups tend to be small. Technical Canyon groups average somewhat larger, and of the groups listed, Subway groups are the largest. But all the groups tend to be fairly small. It would perhaps be interesting to see how many of the groups are close to the maximum - ie, 10 to 12.
