Ticaboo Mesa Wildflowers May 4 2020

Went out to Ticaboo Mesa, to do the South Fork of Ticaboo Canyon. There was a pretty good bloom going on, at least in some areas. Small changes in aspect and slope angle seemed to make a big difference in what was going on… some areas, most areas = not much at all. Here are a few pictures of good ones I found.

A little reading on this one informed me that those are not the flowers. What we see are the seeds with their fairly large wings. I will have to look more closely next time I see them in the field.

And then we went and did a canyon…
