Rapid Links - Steel - stainless, galvanized

Rapid Links - Steel - stainless, galvanized
NEW!! We are converting our program to stainless, with the help of HowNOT2, starting with 6mm. These are sourced from Climbing Taiwan who does a good QA job - and yet the price is about half of what we previously had to charge.
7mm and 8mm: Genuine Maillons Rapides from France - with quality control and excellent workmanship! The standard for leaving as 'rings' on rappel anchors. Steel holds up to wet sandy ropes a whole lot better than aluminium. Discounted when buying 10 at a time. aka Rapid Link Rapide Quick Link Ring Q/RL RL
Prices up a LOT with “the modern world”. Moving steel from France or Taiwan to the USA has become expensive. Though I still take a short margin since RLs are left in place as a donation to the community.
6mm 316 Stainless Steel TALL - Climbing Taiwan
We are joining the modern world and moving the Stainless Steel. HowNOT2 has allowed us to get in on their sourcing with Climbing Taiwan, and the 6mm are the first ones we can offer here, at a very reasonable price…
6mm is good size for bringing in canyons to leave on anchors, when using skinny ropes. About the same size as the 'Pacific Rim' 1/4" (6mm) ones. Not so good around fat ropes, so don't leave them in trade route canyons. The Tall style has a large gate opening (>10mm) so it can link to larger rapides, the phat aluminum rings and glue-in bolts, even the huge Petzl Battinox.
Weight: 42 grams or 1.5 ounces.
Minimum Breaking Strength 22 kN (4900 lbs)
7mm Galvanized Steel - Maillon Rapide
The 7mm is a great size - big enough to be convincing and OK with fat ropes, but small enough to be a reasonable weight to carry. Recommended!
Weight: 51 grams or 1.75 oz.
Safe Working Load: 550 kg
8mm Galvanized Steel- Maillon Rapide
A good size for bringing in canyons to leave on anchors, especially trade routes and high-traffic areas.
Weight: 74 grams or 2.6 ounces.
Safe Working Load: 700 kg
